In the inaugural issue of the Shinrin Yoku Journal, the cover image features a sacred tree encircled by a shimenawa (しめ縄) , a traditional Japanese rope imbued with spiritual and cultural significance. This visual choice serves as a nod to the roots of Japanese reverence for nature but also as a symbolic representation of the journal’s theme, “Transformative Experiences”
